Business School Ranking - Eduniversal 2024

The Eduniversal agency presented this year's ranking of the top 1,000 business schools from around the world, taking into account the breakdown by region and country. The highest ranked university from Poland was the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, winning as the only one in the country the prestigious five palms of excellence.

What is Eduniversal?

Eduniversal is a global agency specializing in the evaluation of educational institutions. It publishes annual rankings of universities and study programs. The 2024 edition focuses on the evaluation of schools, rather than individual majors, which are evaluated separately in the Best Masters list . The Business School Ranking has been in operation since 2007 and currently includes 1,000 universities from 153 countries, divided into nine geographic regions.

Ranking process

The ranking is based on a three-step methodology:

Step 1: Selection of 1,000 business schools
The first step is to select the top 1,000 schools, which is done on the basis of quantitative indicators, such as investment in education or number of students, and qualitative indicators, such as educational tradition and number of graduates.

Step 2: Awarding of Palms of Excellence
Each university receives between one and five palms, which are awarded based on criteria such as accreditations, international rankings, partnerships and membership in academic organizations.

  • 5 palms: global reputation - awarded to 100 schools.
  • 4 palms: significant international prominence - awarded to 200 schools.
  • 3 palms: growing international influence - 400 schools.
  • 2 palms: strong regional influence - 200 schools.
  • 1 palm: significant local influence - 100 schools.

Step 3: Deans' vote
The final ranking is based on the votes of the deans of other business schools. This step recognizes the schools' achievements.

Poland in the ranking

The ranking includes 18 Polish universities. The highest ranked were the Faculty of Management at Warsaw University, Kozminski University and the Warsaw School of Economics, earning five palms of excellence. Among the schools with four palms were and the University of Economics in Poznan. Three palms were awarded to the Business School of Warsaw University of Technology, the Faculty of Economics and Management of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, the Faculty of Management and Economics of Gdansk University of Technology, the Gdansk Foundation for Management Training and the Business School of National-Louis University in Nowy Sacz. Two palms were awarded to the Wroclaw University of Economics and the Vistula University of Finance and Business. Other Polish universities were awarded the title of Eduniversal Selected.

International awards

During the Eduniversal World Convention, the top three universities in each geographical zone were awarded. In the Eastern European region, the awards went to:

  1. Prague University of Economics and Business (Czech Republic)
  2. Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw (Poland)
  3. Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary, ex aequo)
  4. University of Zagreb, Faculty of Economics and Business (Croatia, ex aequo).

Conclusions

The Eduniversal ranking confirms the high level of Polish business universities, which stand out in the region and internationally. This compilation is a valuable tool for those seeking the best educational options. However, it is worth remembering that the choice of school should not be based solely on the results of the rankings, but on an in-depth analysis of one's own needs and aspirations.
