Best MBA programms in Poland by PERSPEKTYWY MBA Ranking 2018

The results of the PERSPEKTYWY MBA Ranking 2018 have just been announced. This year 1st place ex aequo belongs to three MBA programmes organized by the universities from Warsaw: emba@uw – Executive MBA offered by the International Management Center at the University of Warsaw, Canadian Executive Master of Business Administration (CEMBA) run by Warsaw School of Economics and Executive MBA available at Kozminski University.

The MBA Ranking prepared by the Education Foundation Perspektywy is one of the longest tradition as well as the best renowned and acknowledged lists of this sort in Poland. This year’s edition of the ranking classifies 31 out of 70 programmes. To be included in the latest ranking, every MBA programme had to meet the following three requirements: to be active, i.e. to recruit students and to run lectures, to be established before 2016, i.e. to run its 2nd edition the least and to respond to the prepared survey.

Methodology 

In the process of assessing the MBA programmes, there are 7 key criteria taken into account: prestige of the programme, substance and merits of the programme, teaching staff, students of the programme, alumni’s opinion, employers’ preferences and support of the teaching process. Every of these criteria examine different aspects. In this year’s edition 26 indicators connected with conducting the MBA programme were taken into consideration. The data is collected from the surveys carried out among programme organizers, alumni and employers. Later based on the results with a certain assigned weight, the ranking is created. According to the principles accepted by the Board of the Ranking, the programmes whose difference in their total results is not more than 0.5 per cent are classified at the same position.

Ranking results     

As mentioned before, the lead of this year’s edition of the ranking consists of 3 programmes from Warsaw (1st place ex aequo): emba@uw – Executive MBA offered by the International Management Center at the University of Warsaw, Canadian Executive Master of Business Administration (CEMBA) run by Warsaw School of Economics and Executive MBA available at Kozminski University. 
And the other standings in the top ten are taken by as follows: 
4th place - MBA Poznan-Atlanta at Poznan University of Economics,
5th place ex aequo - Executive MBA Katalyst conducted by School of Business, Warsaw University of Technology and Executive MBA run by Cracow School of Business, Cracow University of Economics,
7th place - MBA – SGH offered by Warsaw School of Economics,
8th place - European Multicultural Integrated Management Program, International MBA conducted by Cracow School of Business, Cracow University of Economics,
9th place - Alto Executive MBA at WSB University in Poznan,
10th place ex aequo - International MBA in Strategy, Programme and Project Management run by Faculty of Management and Economics. Gdansk University of Technology and Polish and American MBA Program led by PAM Center, Faculty of Management, University of Lodz.
Conclusions   
Like in the previous editions of the ranking, there are the most MBA programmes from Warsaw. The whole podium belongs to them, and in the top ten there are 5 MBAs in total available in the capital of Poland. 

As far as the importance of the classification alone is concerned, it should be emphasised that certainly, this sort of ranking makes it easier to find an answer which MBA programme a candidate should choose and it is also a source of valuable information. However, it should not be the only criterion while selecting the programme or university. On the other hand, it appears that MBA studies are renowned and increasingly appreciated. It is said that they are still a good kind of investment, since the best of them can boast of a very satisfactory and high rate of return.
