QS Executive MBA 2023 ranking

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released its ranking of Executive MBA 2023 programs. The best MBA programs in the world according to this year's ranking were: HEC Paris from France, IESE Business School from Spain and Oxford (Said) from the UK. Four MBA programs were recognized from Poland.

The QS EMBA ranking is widely regarded as one of the most complete lists of its kind. It is based on the opinions of industry professionals, data on participants and their career progression after graduation, and other relevant factors. The ranking takes into account as many as 197 programs, including 26 combined programs offered by two or more universities.

For a university to be included in the list, it must meet certain criteria, such as having the appropriate accreditation - AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS or EFMD Accredited (formerly EPAS); a minimum of one completed degree program; and a participant group of min. 20 participants. In addition, registration with the Executive MBA Council ensures that the program is recognized as an EMBA.

The ranking uses data from surveys: QS Global Employer Survey and QS Academic Survey. Surveyed employers and academics provide their opinions on the programs, which largely influence the final results.

Ranking results

This year's ranking results are similar to those of last year. The top two universities swapped places and this year IESE Business School took first place and HER Paris took second. Third place went to the Oxford University program (Said), which moved up from fifth place. It may be of some interest that no program run by American universities was on the podium. The best American university - MIT Sloan - came in fourth place. Among the top 10 programs, as many as 7 programs are run by universities from Europe and 3 American programs. Programs from Spain have a very strong representation, as as many as three programs from this country were ranked in the top 10. 

MBA programs from Poland in the ranking results

Four programs from Poland were included in the ranking. The leading Polish program was the Executive MBA offered by the Warsaw University of Technology Business School, which ranked 31st in Europe (23rd in 2022) and 73rd in the world (57th in 2022). Leon Kozminski University ranked 50th (44th in 2022) in Europe and 121-130th (101-110th in 2022) in the world, Gdansk University of Technology ranked 67th in Europe (+51st in 2022) and +181th in the world (161-170th in 2022), and Krakow Business School ranked 69th in Europe (+51st in 2022) and +181st in the world (+171 in 2022).

The results of the ranking confirm that MBA programs offered by Polish universities offer world-class quality are recognized in the international market. Let's hope that the declines in ranking positions are only temporary and in the following years the programs will reach higher and higher positions.
